The Truth About Antibiotics and Yeast Infections

We have a lot to thank for the discovery of antibiotics, but are we misusing this gift with constant reckless use. Are we letting the yeasts and bacteria become resistant and stronger with time.

To make matters worse, antibiotics do not distinguish between good and bad bacteria, and kill off all the helper bacteria in your body that naturally combats disease and infection. With a lowering immune system, and a more resistant bacteria or yeast, the problem gets worse with time.

This means that we may gain a short term victory, but in the end we are facing a much more serious battle in doing so.

Unfortunately yeast like Candida does not completely die off with the use of antibiotics. It is this residing yeast that while much smaller and weaker, begins to strengthen again once the antibiotics stop, and without our own bodies natural defences preventing the spread, the yeast changes into a much more dangerous fungal form that will develop hooks which dig into your intestines creating all kinds of problems and pain.

Once this happens it simply spors into your blood steam and hitches around your body and can end up in any organ where it will start to make a new site of infection, this is why Candida infection can have so many symptoms such as indigestion, migraines and eczema.

Since your immune system is now stretched to the limit fighting these infections, you may see other illnesses manifest from the situation, like leaky gut syndrome or even cancer.

Unfortunately even avoiding antibiotics is rarely an option, sometimes we need them for more serious cases, but when we do really need them, be sure to take acidophilus and replace the good bacteria that is destroyed.

A lot of people believe they have managed to avoid overuse of antibiotics but are unaware the simple process of buying and ingesting meat could be contributing to the problem. Meat is injected with antibiotics to kill off any underlying problems, and while it is far from dangerous it does contribute to lowering your immune system over time.

A great way to avoid suppressing your immune system is to buy organic meats, but we still may need antibiotics for other reasons, so just be aware of the problem and do what you can when you can.

Sometimes all we need is to understand the problem a little better to avoid antibiotics from causing serious problems down the track.
